Fedje video, 3:33 min, Norway, 2012, sound by Uli Kürner above: still images Fedje is a picturesque island northwest of Bergen. Like other islands on the Norwegian coast it housed a German military base in WW II of which one is reminded by derelic concrete structures that run all the way from the main road down to the ocean. About 4 km straight ahead from the place where the series of concrete ruins hits the shoreline, the reason lies aground why Fedje is still affected by consequences of the war today.
