earthskyearth − luminous wood-boxes, 2005
The "earthskyearth"-motifs were transferred as hole structures onto wood panels and realized as illuminated wood boxes. Light bulbs are used instead of neon lights because of the warm character of their light.
Depending on the light situation of the surrounding, either only the hole structures or the whole boxes are shining. The wood structure becomes more and more obvious as the room is darkening.
The way of presenting the light structures by creating new light phenomena is a very direct one. Looking at the details, one realizes the special character of these pictures made of light points.
