They refer to the center of political power in Canada, the parliament in Ottawa. The video shows seven (accelerated) five minutes car rides all starting in front of the parliament building and leading into seven different directions. The respective end points reveal the abrupt transition from representative architecture with the character of a metropole to suburban housing divided into small sections and open spaces. The work was realized during an Artist Residency at Centre DAIMON, Gatineau. < overview works
